“Anderson Knows…”

“Anderson Knows Opera…Anderson Knows Gospel”

Jacqueline Anderson Mezzo-Soprano

“Is she an opera singer or a gospel singer?” people ask prior to experiencing Jacqueline Anderson in concert.  Once you have had the opportunity to listen to her program it will become clear to you that Jacqueline Anderson is just an “amazing singer.”  She can be described as a unique blend between operatic diva and Christian sanctuary soloist.  With such a reputation preceding her, Anderson is confident in approaching each genre with intelligence and grace.  At any concert, you can expect operatic warhorses such as “O mio Fernando” from Donizetti’s La Favorita, just as amply as “We Shall Behold Him,” popularized by Christian great Sandi Patti.  Every song, whether a spiritual, hymn or operatic aria is approached as “worship”  to Anderson, which makes her a thrilling performer, especially live.

Churches far and wide have opened their sanctuaries to Anderson, bringing her grand musical witness.  Curiously she has been dubbed “The Voice,” by a supporter, stating that her performances personify the “reflection of God’s gifts.”  From her regal physical presentation, to her “over the top” vocal stylings, Anderson is a phenom at her craft.

Anderson’s voice could be described as gigantic, dark hued and indulgent–almost Wagnerian.  Her total control of line, and timing are two aspects that are her calling card.  Anderson is just plain exciting!

Daring, quality musical presentations are what make Anderson happiest.  She is a humble mouthpiece for God’s Word and is a fabulous individual.  Her colleagues love to work with her, and her supporters rally their resources for her at every concert.  The future is bright for her, and I am thankful to know that such a person as Jacqueline Anderson exists in the world of music.
